MEFL HIstory

PS3-M25-2013

  • MEFL Bowl I Champ: Flybad
  • Robar Winner: J_Bell12 / C-May
  • AFC Champ: zeemen
  • Notes: M25 for PS3 floored us with how ridiculous the running game was. "Run-Free" was a total flop and elusive RB's left defenders in the dust and power guys destroyed defenders. The first official Default League was also a complete flop. Very man inactive owners the entire season. Even playoff games were simmed. For the first ever Robar winner, J_Bell12 and C-May were the most worthy of recipients, and MXLF veterans.

PS4-M25-2013

  • MEFL Bowl II Champ: chrebet1024
  • Robar Winner: deathbyeagle
  • NFC Champ: omgahamsandwich
  • MVP: ClaxTKE - QB Ryan Tannehill
  • Notes: The first Default Season on PS4 was where MEFL Default legitimized itself. It took hard work in recruiting, as owner turnover was frequent the first season, but it was a solid league. Tannehill broke the NFL passing yards record with about 5,500 yards on the season. The Jets rode a tremendous running game and defense to the Championship. DBE took the Robar for his dedication on Chat and utilizing the Scouting Reports section.

M25-2014

  • MEFL Bowl III Champ: chrebet1024
  • Robar Winner: SL1CKS1LVERMAN
  • NFC Champ: SPURDADDY_24
  • MVP: zeemen - RB Jamaal Charles
  • Notes: Again, the Jets took their running game through the playoffs to another title as none of their playoff games were close. Jamaal Charles broke the TD rushing record with over 30. Slick stepped up this season in a major way, eventually sliding himself into a position of power with the MEFL.

M25-2015

  • MEFL Bowl IV Champ: SPURDADDY_24
  • Robar Winner: TitanBrian33
  • AFC Champ: zeemen
  • MVP: SL1CKS1LVERMAN - QB Tim Tebow
  • Notes: There were no outstanding player statistics in M25-2015, and Slick took advantage with Tim Tebow. In one of the more shocking upsets in MEFL Bowl history, newcomer Spur took out zeemen's powerhouse Chiefs team. Another shock was Slick's fantastic Eagles team getting upset in the NFC Title Game. TitanBrian took home the Robar for his dedication across the board.

M25-2016

  • MEFL Bowl V Champ: ZzLonestarzZ
  • Robar Winner: Ra-fa_BR
  • AFC Champ: MWSTheNatural
  • MVP: ClaxTKE - RB Isiah Pead
  • Notes: Lonestar became the first and only Default League team to go a perfect 19-0 as he took out a very talented MWSTheNatural in the Super Bowl. The AFC Championships game which was supposed to be one for the ages turned out to be a complete blowout. Rafa, who was perhaps the most vocal owner in the league, took home the Robar.

M25-2017

  • MEFL Bowl VI Champ: zeemen
  • Robar Winner: Burntcabbage
  • NFC Champ: Str8Coach
  • MVP: MWSTheNatural - QB Aaron Rodgers
  • Notes: zeemen finally broke through for a default league championship in the last season of M25. He rode Jamaal Charles and a pancaking, brutalizing running game to the title. With Str8Coach winning the NFC, the Super Bowl featured two MXLF vets. During a season which we made Scouting Reports mandatory, BurntCabbage took the Robar for great SIM play, evidence by each scouting report handed in.

M15-2014

  • MEFL Bowl VII Champ: deathbyeagle
  • Robar Winner: Helldawg66
  • -AFC Champ: SHOOTER8175
  • MVP: BillyBob2008 - RB Adrian Peterson
  • Notes: M15 brought a very style of gameplay to the table. Player Confidence would be very important. Less agility will ball carries (with left stick) was another factor. Nevertheless, BillyBob2008 took RB Adrian Peterson to the NFL Rushing Record in Season 1. Deathbyeagle took his first MEFL Title as he defeated a hot Raiders team led by a backup QB. Helldawg won the Robar after suspending himself for a tactic that wasn't even against the rules.

M15-2015

  • MEFL Bowl VIII Champ: SHOOTER8175
  • Robar Winner: SDChargers373
  • NFC Champ: Fallen2244
  • MVP: Fallen2244 - QB Logan Thomas
  • Notes: Season 2 saw the passing game take a little jump up as guys got used to it. Many realized that throwing the ball into coverage paid off in the end. More than likely it'll go in the direction of the offense and not the defense. Average QBs like Logan Thomas and Zack Mettenberger had great seasons. Shooter once again won the AFC, again as a Wild Card playing in a very tough AFC West with Clax(Broncos), SD(Chargers) and Bull(Chiefs). He also picked up his first MEFL Title by knocking off Fallen and the Cards in SB.

M15-2016

  • MEFL Bowl IX Champ: Bu11ze1
  • Robar Winner: N/A
  • AFC Champ: SHOOTER8175
  • MVP: DoUbLeD187 - QB Joel Page
  • Notes: The inside the hash-marks passing game continued to jump. Bu11ze1 won a home game and two road playoff games en route to the SB. Once again, for an MEFL record third straight season, Shooter won the AFC.

History Summary

--Started as MXLF (Madden X League Fantasy) during the M11 season as a Fantasy League "branch off" from MXL (Madden X League, Commished by Tony87Blue). Main players were Bu11ze1 and Zeemen. It formed mostly from 2 groups which were some MXL guys and Zeemen's guys which came from another league, known as "Trill." Bu11ze1 was original commish of MXLF. Starting in M12, BurntCabbage eventually took over Commish duties and the Super Bowl Champions started to be recorded.

--Towards the very end of the M13 year, MXLF moved websites and changed name to "Elite Gamebreakers" by breaking away completely from MXL and switched to a Default Roster League as their Main League.

--During PS3 M25 time, league became MEFL (Madden Elite Football League) along with a Fantasy League affiliate also known as MEFL (Madden Elite Fantasy League).

--This happened while Elite Gambreakers was going through season 1 of PS3 M25, as a newly forming "Twisted Mayhem Fantasy League" affiliated with Elite Game breakers run by BurntCabbage, merged with MFFL (Madden Fantasy Football League) also a newly forming Fantasy Football League run by Chrebet1024 and Mr_Ortiz_25 (who both previously left MXLF towards end of M13). This is how MEFL formed, as these 2 leagues merged. With the success of the MEFL Fantasy League being seen, Elite Game breakers then also became MEFL (Madden Elite Football League) as their affiliate.

--During the time of conversion to PS4, both main MEFL websites/leagues turned into the PS4 websites/leagues only.
