Now I know two franchises are having issues with funds (Cowboys and Steelers)....but here are the reasons we do owner mode.
It allows us to find out which players are FOR REAL. If a guy takes over a struggling franchise and is dedicated to turning that bitch around......then we know we found somebody great.
I do understand we already know that Viper and Lonestare are good owners....but this is just another reason why we do it. And I do understand your frustrations right now.
*Note: you both have home games in Week 1 so you should have enough funds after that.
We also do it for more strategy....we also do it to have real life coaches involved.
The more in depth it is...the more we find out about guys.
Owner Mode
Re: Owner Mode
For example.....pretty sure the Panthers have walked away.
Told me his finances were screwed up and didn't wanna deal with it.
Well I say this.....give me the guy thats gonna FIGURE IT OUT instead of walking away when things get tough. When u take over a new ownership there's some work to be done.

I completely agree with this 100% The patriots owner and I had to struggle with financial decisions before and after this draft to feel the team with limited funds it was fun to have to make those hard decisions like they do in real life and make it well worth it that is why this league is so great and owner mode is as well.
I wasn't sitting to pretty either. Managed to field my team with 30k left to spare. Good thing I have some older players with expiring contracts. If not for that I would be screwed next season... As for the injuries, I lost both my RE one for the season. I agree with Zee, it sucks, but it's fun to deal with it. Any one of the injuries could have happened week 1 and that would change a lot of owners opinion on this issue. It adds another variable. And proves the importance of depth!
Make sure the Panthers guy (Skywalker og) realizes that if he drops that team because he fucked up the cap and doesn't want to fix it, that's a ban......I won't let him come back and grab another team....ever.
When I started in MXLF, i took over a loser browns squad......went 1-15 first season. I rolled with them boys tho.....was fun.

If you need a Dr. In Carolina I'll go. I want them or new england for next madden anyways. Sucks walking away from bucs right now, they are loaded. But i would
And no more New England for madden 15 id stay in carolina to listento the boo birds in the dome

Just a Question here...
Are you referring to your CAP Space or Owner Funds?
I have a shit load of CAP Space, but i'm -4 million in Owner Funds.
How is that making hard decisions? I'm forced to play 1st game with under 50 players and 7 of those are injured. So i'm probably around 39-40 players for the game.
Are injuries going to be off to protect me? cause i might have SS playing HB or QB playing HB and maybe a WR playing QB due to no depth.
What good is CAP space if it's just about Owner Funds? The better player you are the better your Owner funds are.

I'm referring to everything as a whole...
again..it tells us a WHOLE LOT about a person's character if their not willing to go through the TOUGH TIMES if they take over a shitty situation....which by the way are short lived.
Sure the better players will get more funds....but only on the rarest of occasions to teams run into the issue that the Steelers and Cowboys are in right now.
One Home game fixes that.
Also, Viper...you retired from the league and wanted to start out as a "rookie owner." That's 100% fine with me. But being in the league almost the entire season last year I guarantee you that your funds were fine.
It's a very rare thing....but once it does happen, it tells us a lot about a guy. I completely agree on this front: that only having 40 guys on a team is RIDICULOUS (and not being able to do anything about it).....but it lasts one game, and RARELY happens.
