Madden 15 defense to hard? Empty Madden 15 defense to hard?

    Post by titanbrian

Seahawks won the superbowl, a CB on the Madden cover, all the trailers and teasers are pointing to a much better defense in Madden 15. in the groupme chat we have been discussing that we should go on the all pro level so we still get realistic offensive numbers. Someone even speculated that we won't be able to user the offensive line, because "D"will stand for devastating.

I argue this, if our offensive stats and year end totals, are realistic now, but we only average 45 plays a game vs. the NFL going over 60, then isn't the offense overpowered? If the defense was better, and we all punted more, then could we just extend the minutes played to get the same averages?

Could the league handle 1 hour and 30 min. Games? Is our time to valuable for 2 hour games?

Cover 3 will rule Madden 15!! no doubt in my mind!

everything ea does is always to an extreme of the previous years gimmick that wins in real life. whether it's the wildcat or the read option. whether it's ball hawk or precision passing.

again, no doubt in my mind that defense, especially usering the DL with all those new "features" will be once again another overpowering aspect of madden football.

some people love all-pro, some people love all-madden. in the end, it doesnt matter because we're all going to be playing with the same settings.

madden is never going to be simulation football...no matter what we do to these settings because there's always going to be some aspect of the game that's broken/overpowering.

im sure chreb/cabbage will get feedback from the owners and then decide what's in the leagues best interest before deciding something without playing the new version of madden.

ps - i'm for all-pro, have been since madden 10. all-madden is and has always been more about the highest cpu difficulty to give you a challenge and well this here is a 32 user league. we play other humans for 16+ games per season and i personally would want to feel like i beat, or lost, to another user than the cpu.

The freaking Seahawks in real life RARELY BLITZ, and rarely play anything OTHER than cover 3. They can though bc Earl Thomas takes away more than a third of the field.

All-Madden does NOT make it feel like the CPU is beating you rather than the human. No freaking way. First of all...if that was the case then our playoffs would changeover more than they have. The same guys are in the playoffs every season.

Secondly, I like having the CPU players be a little better. Building a team is important, and should be important.

Regardless, it's not that big an issue either way. The MAIN and sole reason I like it is because it takes away DEFENSIVE ASSIST.

So, how can you argue that all-pro is a better user vs user evaluation against all-madden when guys use the DEFENSIVE ASSIST on all-pro???? That is adding the CPU element into it way too much.

...I understand the sentiment...I just don't agree based on the DEFENSIVE ASSIST aspect.

The more PARITY we can bring to the league is where I will tend to go. So if guys believe their idea will ring more parity, then we'll listen.

Regardless of setting...it's not that big a factor when determining user vs user talent....IMO.

Or like every madden we can wait and see bc they always say one thing yet offense is always over powering. Also hard D or not some of us will score many points regardless of what madden does. We will all find out when we play it. I'm guessing it will be like every year. Some can play D, some can play O and some of us can do both. It's just the way it is and always will be. Hence the same players always in playoffs. It's not usually how EA decides to tighten the D or over power the O. The owner depending on who it is will be dominant or not.

I've always been an all pro guy because i thought that all Madden was just a cpu cheat. The CB would take two huge steps to int the ball, and fumbles would jack way up. Last year was the first time i ever played as all Madden and got along surprising well.

Can all Madden play just like all pro by making sliders easy? Is there any other difference? If its just the cpu assist then I'm with chrebet, all Madden the way to go, then just make sliders easier if needed.

Thing we should have this talk AFTER the game comes out. They have had "defensive" games before that were a total bust. lol. Jumping the gun a bit here with very little info. Even the demo wont play like the real game.

Totally agree with death. Too many times they say this but we get that. You won't know till the game comes out and even then some will say they think the D set jacked up but then some if us will out up 50 points so again in my opinion it comes down to the owner and play calling. The D could be junk but I've seen some here call a giid defensive game and shut down an offense.

X is now a standard tackle BTW...d assist may be gone regardless.

Listen regardless of anybody's thoughts right now...it all doesn't matter until game gets played for a few days first.

Biggest reason in my mind for all madden in MEFL was to disable defensive assist. Defensive assist was used like a plague in MXL.

Trust me...whatever cabbage and I decide will work beautifully....like this year. We had run blocking slider at 0 from the get go in m25.

All input will be heard through a thread that comes out on release day and moving forward.

Also...we DO adjust sliders during season 1. Makes NO SENSE NOT TO. The more info and evidence we gather will help us determine gameplay. Sliders can change for the betterment of the league at anytime.
