We are now All-Pro

Post by chrebet1024

As much as I don't want to do this...we MUST move to All-Pro.  IMO, All-Madden is still the best option for leagues like this....but we cannot use it.

Guys CANNOT be losing to the CPU when they are deserving of a win...or when the other guy doesn't show up.  In a perfect world, would it be great to have the CPU be a challenge?  Fuck yeah.  But how is it fair for a team to lose to the CPU when they already beat the user in the game prior?....and they're only playing the CPU to get a win.

The CPU challenge should be for your own private franchise.

I attempted to implement CPU Sliders to make the CPU easier...It most definitely is easier now.  Today I beat the CPU by 7 points.  FJD lost by 15 points, and this was after he was deserving of a win after defeating Bills before DC.  In Week 1 Tampamountaineer lost 41-7 to the CPU.  I cannot take the sliders any further than they already were.

We are now on All-Pro...with default settings across the board.  This is final.

***Please re-check your visual settings as turning to All-Pro will have changed your "Defensive Graphics" to FULL.  We need them turned to OFF.  Double check all settings again.

So we are going to all pro bc CPU won a few games. Half way through the season when everyone gets better I'm sure they will beat the CPU. Maybe we can revisit going to all madden after season one. Doesn't make a lot of sense if we say we are a stacked league but can't play on the highest level. I do get the games needing to be won against CPU but it's early and many will get this game down before long. At least lets hope so. Will the speed threshold need to be changed now bc we are on all pro?

Can we not just supersim CPU games?

Post on 9/2/2014, 7:27 am by titanbrian

I'm assuming we made a rule to broadcast cpu games so guys don't cheat, and maybe take a loss. Now we change our whole system around so guys don't take a loss? Is this counter productive? Lets just give them as many chances as they want to beat the cpu, its their time, nobody involved, and we have stat caps in place.

Does it hurt anyone if i run the same play to the left all game??? cuz my opponent can show up any time and play, id rather have that.

with no practices available, a cpu game id my only chance to practice plays with our league settings against league teams.

Last year most my cpu games were last minute, before advance, when my opponent just couldn't make it. I was told to get ahead then Sim. This year everybody going to wait around for Brian to play cpu, and broadcast cuz its a rule now?

Someone please tell me what is gained, by the league, to have someone record a cpu game?

...Brian it has nothing to do with broadcasting the CPU game.  It has to deal with how DIFFICULT it is to beat the CPU on All-Madden this year.  Whether we broadcast CPU games or not...it doesn't matter.  And honestly..you're right, I could care less about somebody broadcasting a CPU game as well.

Brian there are 2 different TYPES of CPU games.

1. Where the team is playing the CPU because the other guy cannot play
2. Where the team is DESERVING of a win already because he already beat the user head to head and a DC happened.
....you can only throw your logic under one of those, not both of them.

It is irresponsible to have guys losing to these CPU games when they have already locked up the win against the user.

If the commish had the ability to hand out wins (much like MLB The Show does)...then we would have no problem here.

This is the ONLY move to make here....I'm telling you guys.  I've been working on this a while now, realizing this could be an issue.

NOBODY honestly thought the CPU would be this difficult to beat on All-Madden.  NOBODY....including the guys who've been backing All-Pro.

Post on 9/2/2014, 8:14 am by ClaxTKE

This is simply my 2 cents

Im of the opinion every CpU game should be a win for the user; even if it is simply because te other team cant make it.

As a result I think that if you cannot beat the cpu you should super-sim it to get a win. I would support quitting a super sim at the wnd f losing for a another shot at getting a super sim win.

While not ideal, why impact the game and 98% of matches as esp. Season 1 people will be playing their games. Most people would beat cpu and well get better as we progress.

This way people get the wins they should be grtting and the matches everyone wants to play are at the highest lvl

....there is NO debate.  CPU games have to be automatic wins based on the mechanism we have.  There's no other choice.

ONE CPU loss is enough for me to change this...its as simple as that.

Even tho I still believe that all madden is better for leagues....guess what?  We cannot always get what we want.  Choices need to be made for the best interest of the league in mind.

I tried to adjust it....gameplay was STILL too tough.

.....let's play some football.

Post on 9/2/2014, 8:51 am by titanbrian

what clax and i are saying is if we can cheat the cpu, than we will get the win and it won't matter what level you want to play on.

isn't that a win, win?

I understand what your saying....but what I'm saying is forget about cheating the CPU or not.....whether u do it or not....IT IS STLL TOO TOUGH.

Its a difficulty issue....not a "cheating" the CPU issue.

You're assuming that we can leave it on all madden if we allow guys to do whatever they have to do to get the win?  Not true.  It is that damn tough where the average owner will have a tough time beating the CPU.

Try it.  Play a CPU game on all madden.

I had CPU sliders tuned down as far as I could take them and I barely beat the CPU by 7.  FJD lost by 14.  1 CPU loss when the guy (Fjd) already had the win against the user is one loss too many.

I'm pretty sure my gameplay settings are well documented so I won't comment on that. What I will say is please just make a decision on what we are playing on and leave it there for at least a full season. We can't be constantly changing without a sizable sample of games to analyze...not to mention its really a pain in the ass for scheming and practicing if settings are constantly changing.

Settings preference I should say

Post on 9/2/2014, 10:00 am by ClaxTKE

Im not saying cheat te cpu.

Im saying allow the person with the sim to supersim (and quit in the 4th q if not winning)

This way we dont change our actual CORE gameplay.

If te person gets cpu just give them a win, simple. No need for this other stuff.

Users win sim games and 98% of the games (non sim games) wont have to take the toll by switching to all pro

Yes you All-Pro guys got your way with this "back door" reason of necessity to change.

We will leave it on all-pro at default for the entirety of season 1....taking it on a season to season basis.

I have to ask tho....why is it a big deal if sliders get tweaked "in-season?"

Does "labbing" get screwed up?  Do the AI motions change for you on that big of scale?

Example:  MXL always left sliders on all pro with default levels across he board.  In M25 for PS3, dantheman proceeded to run for close to 40 TDs with Michael Turner that season.  The running was CLEARLY overpowered, yet u guys did NOTHING to adjust.  Instead you'd rather suffer through the entire season of crap gameplay.

That is NOT how we operate.  When we see the need to change and adjust...we do so.  If somebody is running for 40 TDs in a season, then we're not doing the right thing.

k so we will use your scenario.  You adjust some slider (well actually u have to adjust about 5 sliders to get your desired effect).  So you make running difficult based on 1 person being a twat and stat padding (could just suspend that ass),  now you've changed the game for 31 other people based on 1 person...that seems right to you?  Now, if you start seeing 10 guys with 20 int seasons,  sure tweak something then.  See 5 2500 yard rushers?  sure tweak it.  I never said do not tweak settings,  I said give it a sizable sample.   Here is a good example,  broncos had 10 sacks week 1,  gonna suddenly start fucking with pass rushing?  He had 1 the following week vs me,  oops maybe it was just that 1 game or 1 opponent.

And yes, those of us who practice and play in these leagues to win would like some consistency..don't think it's too much to ask for.

actually you are incorrect chreb.

your example was for m13!! dan didnt play but 2 games in mxl during m25...and for the record, from our experience testing sliders we came to the conclusion that they werent working for online gameplay for m13.

m25, we, or better yet I, decided that we were going to play with sliders and we did....we played every season except the last one with sliders. and we played the last 2 seasons with it on all madden.

ps - it's not that we did nothing to adjust, there's people that play like fags and stat pad and then there's people that know when to use their backups.....you can take a wild guess at which group dan belongs in.

...no no no...dantheman played the entire PS3 season for 25....and so did I.  PS3 not PS4.  He was the cardinals and had Turner.  I was the Jets and missed the playoffs with an 11-5 record in a tough AFC west with minicola, Bbw and fallen.

I really think that idnyou can see what should be adjusted early on in season 1...then the more time we have for the rest of the year for EVERYTHING to be set.

If we leave it for a full season...then that's when guys start really caring about switching it up BC they would have already gotten used to that specific gameplay.

I fully disagree with waiting.  Yes you also don't want to change things without a good sample size...I understand that point (BUT if something is obvious, u do it.)

In no way did gameplay drastically change from week 1 to week 2 by me lowering CPU sliders.  Some faith has to be there where u trust that I know what I'm doing with this stuff.

Regardless, I'm confident that the game play is good enough this year where we won't have to make major changes (UNLIKE m13 and m25.)....and we'll be fine on AP with default sliders across the board.

dan was jags in m25 for 2 weeks and quit after he realized denard robinson couldn't play qb with our sliders :\ He was cards for m13 and none of those people you listed have ever been in the afc west..sorry chreb

Sorry Bull....I meant AFC East as I was the Jets, BBW was Fins, Minicola was Pats and Fallen was Bills.

Dan played as the Cardinals for the entire M25 PS3 season.  NOT PS4.  He used Michael Turner and scored close to 40 TD's with him.  Over 35 for sure.

There were around 7-10 players that ran for over 2,000 yards.  The game was nuts when it came to running.

Ask any MXL guy and they'll tell you I'm right that he had the Cards that year.

It doesn't matter, the point is..instead of acting swiftly...you guys allowed that crap gameplay to continue the entire season.  Another example of how we are acting swiftly is by GOING TO ALL-PRO in order to make sure our CPU games are wins.

Note:  Dantheman as Cards....11-6 record for M25.

...you guys are missing the PS3 part....and thinking only of PS4.

I don't get it some of us have and make the exact setting from our league sliders and everything on all madden and I've yet to come close to lose to CPU. You can run for over a hundred yards and throw fir 350+. I think many will catch up as well. I hate that we are back dooring into all pro bc of this. I realize that some want this and even some of the good players which I don't get. Is it not supposed it be a challenge? That's what I play for. For years we say so and so gets a CPU game and laugh as they smash the CPU. Now the CPU is better not unbeatable yet we have to change. That's the point is to make it a challenge and hard. Trust me the CPU is very beatable and I know many here are having no issues. I'll support you Chrebet on yr reasoning but for the good madden players here asking for this but were the same ones complaining that CPU game were to easy in the past, it pretty pathetic that you don't step yr game up and take the harder road. Shit if the CPU beat me in a game fair and square so be it it's no different losing to an owner. You still have to play it out. I just think when people get this game down and they will we will be upping to all madden. Maybe we make an all pro league call it Mxl and Tony can run it. I'm being serious as he was a good commish before. This league should be hard as hell. IMO

...it's the "right move" to go to All-Pro.  We adjust to get things right...we don't wait.

Just like I can argue that M13 and M25 were right to be on All-Madden....Bull and Tony can argue that M15 is right to be on All-Pro, and they have a legitimate point for this game.

What we're also getting into now is whether tweaks should occur early on in Season 1 or not.  We're are NOT going to tweak anything during season 1 now because I'm completely confident the gaemplay for this game is great, and doesn't need tweaking.

All-Madden MOST DEFINITELY needed tweaking so the "average" user could compete with the CPU.

We are All-Pro.....let's freaking play.  Get your Graphical Settings set and let's go.

the difficulty settings is all personal preference. Everyone has their own reasoning for their preference. I had given in on AM and started practicing on that. AP / AM, really don't care, just want a decision to be made (which it has).
