Saints Keep Marching In
SpurDaddy_24 and the New Orleans Saints defeated the Arizona Cardinals by the score of 23-14 this past Sunday. They move to 3-0 on the season and now lead the NFC South by 2 games. Drew Brees was his usual self as he led the way for the Saints. He threw for 303 yards and 2 TD's threw the air while Jimmy Graham and Marques Colston combined for 10 receptions. Next up for the Saints will be the Miami Dolphins on Monday Night Football.
Double Down On Those Titans
DoubleD187 once again saw his Titans win. Much like the Saints, they too move to 3-0 and will be seriously looked at as a true AFC Contender. In Tennessee this past Sunday, they knocked off the Chargers in a shootout by a 38-31 mark. The story of this one was the Titans Rush Defense as they held the Chargers to a ridiculous 14 rushing yards all day. Safety Michael Griffin led the way with 6 solo tackles.
"All Day" Runs Wild
Both the AFC and NFC Offensive Players of the Week went to RB's in Week 3, and for good reason. Adrian Peterson of the Vikings ran wild all day long and put up 249 yards and 2 TD's for the Vikings helping them to victory over the Browns. On the AFC side Joe McKnight of the Jets went for 268 and 3 TD's. The more shocking news however in NYC was the announcing of the Jets acquiring Giovanni Bernard from the Bengals for DT Damon Harrison. After Joe McKnight's performance, most in the league thought the Jets were ready to name him their starting RB, but now seems he'll have some help from Bernard.
