Our rules are huge! We need a lawyer to go over them and condense into a tidy understandable package, that new players wouldn't be discouraged to join, and veteran players don't have to pause games to remember if they are following them.
Example : defensive pass rush.
There is now 460 words in this rule, and all we are saying is, interior lineman can't manually be put in a spy or zone, and 3 players have to be engaged in a rush every play.
That's 20 words.
Can we go rule by rule, and people give input, or wording ideas to make it better?

all these damn rules!
Re: all these damn rules!
Yeah I agree. They get piled onto each other and need some cleaning (condensing) every now and again.
To reflect the new rule change, I'll edit my first post to this:
Interior lineman can't manually be put in a spy or zone, and 3 defensive line players have to be engaged in a rush every play.

21 words vs. 460....wohoo!
....oh yeah we need to update and clean it up. Stuff gets added as time passes.
If anybody wants to clean it up for us, go for it.

I'll take a section this week and see how it turns out, thanks
Not one person would disagree with your sentiment...even me. It's just a matter of getting it done.
