After getting blown out in Week 1 to the Chargers, the Ravens have rebounded to win their last 2 games. Defense has been a big part of those wins as they have scored 3 TD's, including a pick 6 returned from the endzone by Daryl Smith against the Raiders. The defense has also combined for 8 INT's, 2 FF's, and 7 Sacks. Well it's official the Ravens have traded veteran lineman Haloti Ngata to the San Diego Chargers for their 1st and 2nd round picks in the upcoming 2016 draft. It's becoming seemingly clear the Ravens are starting a youth movement, as a few months ago Terrell Suggs was traded to the Bills and veteran Chris Canty was released at final cuts. After giving up their 1st round pick this year to the Raiders to move up in the previous draft, the Ravens have now moved back into the 1st round with possibly a better pick than they would have had with their own. Sources close to the team say the Ravens have made Terrell Suggs, Haloti Ngata, Chris Canty, and Elvis Dumervil available for trade and are putting feelers out to see what teams would be willing to give up. We would assume the Ravens could fetch something big for any of their defensive studs. We attempted to get in contact with the Ravens front office about the rumors but nobody was available for comment.

If the Baltimore Ravens can pull off an upset against the Browns this week they will lock up the final AFC wild card spot, as they received help earlier today from the Jets and the Bills. This will not be an easy task however, as the Browns team they are facing are atop the AFC. Having already clinched 1st place in the AFC and home field advantage this is a meaningless game for the Browns and they might look to sit some of their star players so they are fresh for the playoffs.
