Are Alex Smith's Days Numbered in KC?

Post by rch08

As a new coach takes over in KC this week his main goal was to limit the turnovers by quarterback Alex Smith. Before starting this weeks game against the Raiders, Smith already had 21 interceptions on the season. However, this week was no different for Smith as he threw 4 interceptions and only one touchdown against the Raiders. The one bright spot for the chiefs this week was the running game. Charles lead the team with over 200 yards on the ground. After the game we caught up with coach Harris and asked him about Alex Smith and the quarterback situation. Harris said "Alex had a rough game, he's trying to force the ball way to much instead of making the safe throws or just throwing the ball away like he should. I am going to continue to evaluate him over the last few games, and from there make a decision on if we are going to stick with Smith or go a different direction." As far as the rest of the team coach Harris was happy with how they played. Alex Smith has a few games left to prove to the new coach that he's the man for the job in KC.
