Watched whole game

out of 48 plays [26 passes attempted, 3 pass plays Bengals were sacked, and 19 total team rushing attempts] called by the Bengals on offense [26 pass attempts, 22 rush attempts] Bills did not match personnel on majority. If we're being generous and counting 3-4 bear as matching personnel for 2 and 3 wr sets this still applies.

18 manually selected QUARTER DEFENSE [7 dbacks] called against 3 wr sets.
1 DOLLAR called against 3 wr sets
7 manually selected DIME Defense [6 dbacks] called against 3 wr sets.
2 manually selected DIME defense [6 dbacks] called against 2 wr sets....really?

28 of 48 plays manually selected by Bills did not match personnel. Plus the 4 that I noticed as coach selections that also did not match

There were 3 instances I noticed involving a coach selection defense calling dime when it didn't match personnel, and another 1 instance where quarters was coach selected where it didn't. They are not included above.

so 32 of 48 plays didn't match personnel. 3-4 Bear isn't included in this because it technically does match for 2 or 3 wrs because there's a safety replacing a linebacker so there's an extra db but he's in the box.

On offense I was asked about hb toss plays. most were coach suggestions but several were not. 10 of 27 rb rushes were hb toss/toss crack out of the same 2 formations. the rest were powers, inside zones, isos, draws so I don't think there's an issue here because there's variation. Just wanted to put this because it was brought up to me. However, Tyrod Taylor's long rushing td was a snap and run which we occasionally enforce as a banned play, there was a wide receiver on the cross route open over the middle on the play that was ignored. Other qb runs were legitimate scrambles though.

I didn't log the pass plays but the overwhelming majority seemed to have a drag or slant concept involved even if they weren't the primary concept. If they didn't they were likely a coach suggested z spot play. a few screens and verts.

28 manually selected defensive plays not matching personnel on 48 play calls is a bit ridiculous. Eiffert is not even as good as Jason Witten let alone the Jimmy Graham/Rob Gronkowski level of tightend. If anything he's closer to Larry Donnell and Heath Miller....Eiffert has good catch attributes and jump but [86 cth, 85 cit, 87 spc, 90 jmp...but his awareness is 62 and his route running is 72...an extra db THAT MUCH is ridiculous.
