Despite being on the road and playing in blizzard like conditions, Alex Smith played "ok" according to coach Harris. It was the second game for Smith under coach Harris, and a lot was expected out of him. Overall he played well in the blizzard conditions that made it almost impossible to hold on to the ball. Smith finished the day going 13/23 with a 192 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Chiefs had the lead in the fourth quarter until tight end Travis Kelce fumble the ball and the Steelers picked it up and ran it back for a game winning touchdown. The Chiefs did have one last attempt to drive down the field and score, however they were unable to convert on a 4th down situation. After the game coach Harris said " We played well despite the conditions. The fumble late in the 4th is what ruined it for us. Just something we need work on this last week of the season and throughout the off season." The Chiefs look to end the season with a win as the are back home against the Dolphins to close out the 2014 season.
